Dear John Reith Jaguar Students and Families,

 

Welcome to the 2022-2023 start to the school year! If you are new, WELCOME to John Reith, and if you are returning, WELCOME BACK! We can’t wait for this school year to begin! We are beyond excited to partner with you, our families, and build strong connections with our kids to support their growth and development! We will continue to follow all health and safety guidelines from the CDC.

 

As an educator in Elk Grove for over 25 years I believe that all kids can and will be successful. I believe in building relationships with every student, family, and faculty member to create a strong and cohesive team that will work for you and your child’s success. I believe in building a school culture that welcomes our families as partners. I believe in creating teams that analyze current student data to meet the individual needs of our students. I am here to serve and work to support the John Reith students and community!

 

Our goal is to close the achievement gap, and create a child who is college, trade school and career ready. We will do this with four focus areas. We will focus on your child’s social and emotional needs. Our school will continue to provide outstanding services with our PBIS Program, mental health therapists and school psychologists. We will also use data to support the intervention needs of your child. We will involve and collaborate with our parent community to enhance our school programs. We will partner with you to create a learning environment that best meets your child’s needs. Lastly, every teacher on our campus will provide your child with high quality instruction. We will commit to learning and growing daily to provide your child with the needed tools to be successful in our school and into their future.

 

I am a proud mom of two students who have attended EGUSD schools for their entire careers. I married my high school sweetheart and both of us attended Elk Grove Schools for our entire careers and graduated from Florin High School. I have a college bound child who will attend Sacramento State University in the fall, and a junior at Laguna Creek High, and relate to all your parenting needs and demands! I know and understand the challenges you are faced with each day as a parent. Our teachers and staff have been working behind the scenes all summer planning and preparing for the children to return. Our top priority is still the health and safety of your children. We will follow the county health guidelines carefully.
